24/7 Savings

24-7-logoThere is no question that utilizing FADRS® for all available DR programs can generate hundreds of thousands of dollars per MW in secondary income per year. However, the greatest savings comes from using FADRS® to save energy ALL THE TIME outside of events. This energy savings is not just limited to electricity, but includes oil, gas, propane and other fuels, and even water.

Acting as a supervisor to the BAS, FADRS® permits the BAS to execute its typical programming routines UNLESS that execution will result in some level of energy waste. If that happens, FADRS® temporarily overrides the existing BAS programming and executes a more energy efficient routine. This allows FADRS® to limit peak kW demand, the most expensive part of your electric bill, while also reducing the runtime (kWh) of equipment. FADRS® supervisory experience is derived from over 90 years of combined HVAC, lighting and BAS experience and algorithms associated with that level of experience.

The FADRS® Energy Team has decades of experience in the engineering design, installation, service, maintenance and monitoring of all types of HVAC and lighting systems and thus intimately understands how best to OPTIMIZE Energy Performance while at the same time NOT controlling said equipment in such a way so as to cause premature failure which can place the client at risk, from the standpoint of comfort and productivity, and negate any energy savings gains.

What is Demand Response

Demand response programs exist in energy markets across North America, and each region has opportunities that help meet their unique energy reduction goals. This is actually an "insurance policy" for the ISO that they can rely on during the hottest, most humid summer days when the demand for electricity approaches the available supply.

What is Smart Grid?

The goal to developing a "Smart Grid" is to upgrade our electric grid to be more efficient, more reactive to real-time grid conditions, and promote more sophisticated demand management strategies. Commercial & Industrial implementation of Demand Response are the most effective form of smart grid implementations, and among the most complex.
